Mood Disorders

Mood Disorders

Mood disorders are a group of mental health conditions primarily characterised by significant disturbances in a person’s emotional state. These disorders can affect a person’s mood, thoughts, behaviors, and overall ability to function, causing distress and disrupting daily life. There are several types of mood disorders, with the most common being depression and bipolar disorder, though other related conditions, such as cyclothymia, also fall within this category. With appropriate treatment and support, symptoms can be managed and quality of life improved.
